Ari Weinkle is a Boston based graphic designer. He started with vector illustrations to evolve in stunning 3D artworks.
In this brief interview i wanted to know which are the most trusted sources to stay update about the creative trends, and the tools in need to work in 3D graphics.
1. Ari Weinkle can you tell us about the beginning and how you started to produce such complex artworks? Then which techniques do you use the most?
I’ve been creating digital artworks for the past ten years or so. Initially I was focused on vector illustrations, but lately I’ve transitioned to a 3D workflow. My primary tools are Maxon Cinema4D, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
2. What is the main inspiration behind your artworks?
I don’t really have a main inspiration behind my work. I like the process of creating and that’s really what drives me.
3. Which blogs and magazines do you consider the most valuable to stay update about the creative trends?
4. Can you share with us some hints on future projects?
Right now I’m working on a new series of generative artworks. I’m also looking at creating something based off Henry David Thoreau’s Walden. But haven’t started that one yet…
